My Story
The Moment I Knew .....................
After 20 years working as a Finance Manager, I found myself longing for something more meaningful — a career that truly connected me with people and made a difference at the most important moments of their lives.
Inspiration came at the most unexpected time: my Grandad’s funeral.
He had lived a wonderful, full life and was 96 when he passed away. At his service, I was deeply moved by the celebrant who led the ceremony. In just 30 minutes, he captured the essence of my Grandad so perfectly — his character, his stories, his legacy. Despite never having met him, he honoured his life with such authenticity and care. In that moment, I realised this was what I wanted to do: to serve others by celebrating love, life and memory. I could imagine nothing more rewarding.
While I was training, life changed in ways I could never have anticipated. My husband was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Caring for him through that time reinforced for me the profound importance of love — of presence, of words unspoken and spoken, of the legacy we leave behind. He was a strong and positive man, and he encouraged me to continue pursuing this path because he knew how much it meant to me. He believed it would give me purpose — and he was right.
Today, I dedicate myself to creating beautiful, heartfelt ceremonies that honour life’s most significant chapters — from the joy of falling in love, to welcoming new life, and poignantly, to telling the final story with dignity and care.
I am also a proud mum to three wonderful children and a very loving (some might say slightly needy!) Cocker Spaniel. Living with both the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Coast on my doorstep, I feel incredibly fortunate to draw inspiration from nature. Many of my ideas come to me while walking in the fresh air, embracing the elements. I also treasure time spent in my garden — a place that brought both my husband and me peace during our journey together.
Our lives are made up of chapters. It is a privilege to help create moments that allow you to honour, celebrate and treasure those chapters forever.
Life is special not because it is perfect, but because every moment is a chance to feel, to grow, and to love
